Welcome to our Preschool Prep class!  This UNPARENTED class focuses on children who are potty trained and ready to transition to preschool in the Fall! These small (6 children) classes are great for children who would benefit from doing a familiar program, but without parent support.  These classes are 60-minutes long.  They follow the same structure as our Tiny Learners classes, however give more time for transitions and independence.  Please contact us at info@brilliantbeginnings.ca to answer any questions.  We offer this program yearly in our Spring (April-June) and summer programs.

Each class consists of:

• 35 minutes of circle time with a variety of songs and activities incorporating props, puppets, & movement so children are actively engaged. All songs and activities change weekly in exception to our hello/goodbye and transition songs. We do the same theme 1 – 2 times per year.
• 20 minutes to play at our sensory table (rotating according to theme) and a theme-based craft.
• 5 minutes for a theme-based story and closing goodbye song.

Please note: Parents are encouraged to stay close (within 10 minutes is fine) but we find that lingering within the classroom/studio only exasperates children’s separation anxiety.  We will take everyone’s phone numbers and call you if they are having a rough time!

Weekly developmental handouts are provided by the exit door after each class.
