FAQs

Common Questions

  • We offer a full refund—no questions asked—up to 2 weeks before classes start. After that, refunds are available only if we can fill your spot from the waiting list, and a $25 administration fee applies.

If your class cannot be filled immediately, but is later in the session, we’ll refund what we receive for your space. We want this to be a win-win—we understand that naps and life happen!

  • Yes! We offer make-up classes (subject to availability). You can make up to 2 classes per session in another class within our program. This helps ensure sick children do not come to our program and spread it to others.

  • No, we close for 2 weeks over the holiday season and for all statutory holidays.

  • Our classes are designed for one parent or caregiver to attend each week. However, visitors are always welcome! A second parent, grandparent, or caregiver can join for 1–2 classes to see what we’re all about. You can also take turns attending if that works better for your schedule.

  • Absolutely! We offer a $20 drop-in class for families who want to check out our program. If you decide to register, that $20 will be credited toward your session fees.

  • We get it—nap schedules evolve! You’re welcome to switch to another class time or location subject to availability.

  • We’re proud to be a locally owned and operated Calgary business that’s been running since 2007.

  • We currently offer classes at three convenient Calgary locations:

    • Silver Springs

    • Marda Loop

    • Springbank Hill

  • That’s totally okay — and expected! Our instructors are experienced early childhood educators who understand developmentally appropriate behavior. Participation looks different for every child, and watching, observing, or moving around is all part of learning.

  • Brilliant Beginnings classes are playful and research-based. Each activity supports language, motor skills, sensory learning, and social-emotional development — all while your child has fun.

  • Younger babies in carriers are always welcome. For older siblings, we cannot accommodate them in our program however we do have some sibling friendly options such as Fantastic Fridays and our Multi-age class on Sundays.

  • Most sessions run 8–10 weeks. This gives children time to feel comfortable, learn routines, and build skills.

  • Please register for the class that matches your child’s age at the start of the session. Our programs are carefully designed for specific developmental stages, and having children outside the intended age range can change the learning experience for the group. For this reason, we can only make exceptions for children who turn the minimum age within two weeks of the session start date.

  • We blend structure and curiosity — combining songs, stories, movement, and play to nurture your child’s natural love of learning. With small classes, consistent routine, and expert guidance, your child is supported every step of the way. Check out our more details on our philosophy of early education on our About us page.

  • We maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitize all materials and surfaces between classes, following the same standards we upheld throughout the pandemic. We also have a no sick children policy to help keep everyone healthy and learning safely.
